Today as a part of Right to Read week we spent some time observing in nature. Each child took a piece of yarn and made a circle to observe the different parts of nature they could find. They made a list of things in their circle and then separated those items into groups of living and non-living items. We found grass, flowers, dirt, spiders, seeds, sticks, leaves… And countless other items! They kids used their keen observation skills and were very descriptive about what they found!
Remember that each child needs to bring in two items that can be recycled for our Science activity on Friday.
