Today we had a visit from Indy, the school therapy dog. Indy came to pay our classes a special visit during math class. Our fourth graders will be using our mathematical skills to design a dog house and play area for Indy. They will be using measurement, multiplication and problem solving skills as they work on this. We will also be writing descriptive paragraphs telling what we would include in the house and why. When Indy got here we started by asking interview questions to find out what Indy likes. Some of our questions were “Does Indy like shiny things?” “Where does Indy like to sleep?” “Does Indy like the sun?” “What is Indy’s favorite toy”. After gathering information the students needed to take some measurements.

The kids are very excited and have amazing ideas for things that Indy needs!
